Needham Art in Bloom 2024
Needham, MA, February 9, 2024: Celebrate the return of Spring with Needham Art in Bloom 2024. Beth Shalom Garden Club and the Needham High School Fine Arts Department are delighted to host the popular event on Saturday, March 9th from 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday March 10th from 1 – 4 pm at the Needham Public Library. You don’t want to miss this free exhibit featuring 50 pieces of mixed media high school student artwork paired with beautiful imaginative floral arrangements designed by members of the Beth Shalom Garden Club and participants from Kalmia and Needham Garden Clubs.
“It’s an event that celebrates art and flowers that you don't want to miss,” said Linda Weisberg, Co-Chair of Needham Art in Bloom 2024. “Bring a friend, a spouse, the whole family. Guests of all ages are welcome.”
This year’s event will also include live floral demonstrations on Saturday at 11 am and Sunday at 1:30 pm in the Bosworth Room of the Library. Enjoy watching a floral designer take inspiration from a student’s artwork and create an arrangement using live flowers to build their own creative interpretation. And if you want to bring an arrangement home with you, there will be a select number of floral designs up for auction in the Community Room of the Library.
Visitors are encouraged to share their best floral/art photos on social media with #NeedhamArtinBloom2024, and tagging @bethshalomgardenclubofneedham on Facebook and @bethshalomgardenclub on Instagram.
The exhibit, now in its sixteenth year, returned last year to an in-person event after going virtual the previous two years following the 2020 pandemic. Needham Art in Bloom 2023 welcomed over 2,200 people to the Needham Public Library to view more than 50 displays of art and flowers.
Needham Art in Bloom 2024 is made possible by the contributions of lead sponsor Roche Bros. and the generous support of The Goldin Foundation for Excellence in Education. Beth Shalom Garden Club appreciates the continued annual commitment of its sponsors to this community favorite event.
Needham Art in Bloom is modeled after the annual springtime exhibit Art in Bloom presented by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Beth Shalom Garden Club’s goal is to host an annual community event that engages people of all ages, interests and life experiences.
